It's Not Delivery

As we approach the end of our stay in this town, I thought it would be appropriate to share with you something that happened the other day that makes me wish we could stay. This is a true story. Like Nanner says, “You can’t make this shit up!”

At the grocery store there was a fistfight. Two grown men were yelling and shoving and throwing punches left and right. The police came with four squads, and two ambulances arrived on the scene. One of the men suffered a punctured lung and both had bloody noses and lips.

Is Lois Lane attracted to violence? No. But the reason the fight broke out is what humors me so greatly. Neither of the men were shopping. They were both working. Neither were store employees. You following?

They were both delivery men. The one guy was delivering Tombstone Pizzas and the other was delivering Homerun Pizzas. Ready for the clincher? They were fighting over cooler space.

I wonder if our new town will have that kind of an action-packed grocery store.

By the way, house hunting yesterday went really well. And the reason why we have seen so many crapper houses is because we are dragging our friend/agent to towns she has never been. Plus she is new to this real estate business. We have looked in her territory and out if it, so she is seeing all of these places for the first time too.

Yesterday we put in an offer. More news coming soon to a blog near you.
